Hello Friends and Family from the beautiful area of Kenora!
Winter is approaching very rapidly, all the beauitful trees are bare, and snow is coming and going as if I were in utah. so that is pretty interesting, I brougt the weather with me! However Kenora is still beautiful, and I am enjoying my time with Elder Ruth, he had a hard first half of his training, but since I had a tough training as well, we get along and I am able to help him out better.
So. The work. Kenora branch does not like new members or baptisms, which is strange, because it's what the prophet (so really Heavenly Father) has asked us to do, and they do not want it! there are a lot of difficulties with that, but despite this we are progressing people quite nicely. Our most prominent investigators right now are Michelle (hey look mom!), who is a 9 year old foster child, Derold, a native man in his thirties who only has one tooth, Kevin, a farmer who is really great and takes us up to the canyon to chop trees down and work on his cabin, and Ken, who is a 91 year old man. Pretty interesting group, but hopefully as we work more and do our bet to find new people, they will progress into becoming faithful members of the church.
My spiritual thought this week has to do with moroni 10:32. I have learned from this that if we live a faithful life, and do the best that we can, that the Lord will allow us to become perfected through Him. Through Christ, we can become perfected. I love this concept, and I am so grateful for that knowledge, and I hope that I can help others enjoy the blessings of that knowledge as well.
I love you all, I am grateful for your support, and I hope you each have a wonderful week!
With Love,
Elder Kendall
