Well the first few days here have been pretty good. I guess I'll just let you know first kind of how things work here at the SAMTC. So we are 10 hours ahead here so right now it's almost midnight where you are. We get to email you every Saturday here at the MTC but don't get too used to that. Once we get out in the field it will be on Mondays. Right now we can only email family but I'm sure that will change once we get out into the field. Also I have hardly anyones email or home address. You are allowed to forward this to whoever you want, but once I get out in the field and start sending my general letter I will need you to send me everyones email or forward it when I send it to you. Oh, also I would like you to send me the address for all of our family, espesically the grandparents. I would like to send them some letters. It might be nice for you to send me a letter with a sheet that has people's addresses on it. Make sure you send it to the address that has the Johanneesburg Mission Office and not the MTC because by the time it gets here I'll probably be out in the field. It should just be in the little booklet I left. Anyways, my companions name is Elder Tennant. He is from Melbourne, Astralia. He is really awesome. We're both kind of quiet people, but we get along really well. We have about 12 missionaries here from the U.S., two from Australia, two from Kenya, one from Zimbabwie, one from New Zealand, and one from South Africa. They are all great people and we get along well. The President and his wife are great people. Right now they are out of town until Tuesday. That is when we get to go to the temple. We also have the MTC manager who has been here since it opened almost 8 years ago. His name is Brother Mokke and he is really awesome and funny. He likes to school us all in ping-pong. The food here is pretty normal. I haven't had anything interesting yet. I haven't seen the city yet or been outside the MTC grouds. Right after this we get to go out into town. We have learned the first two lessons and have learned how to introduce ourselves to investigators and get to know their needs so that we can address them. We practice on the teachers and our companions a lot. We have three disticts here, each one has three companionships. I guess Brady warned a couple of people I was coming sot they were expecting me. The Spirit here is so stong. I hardly cried at my farewell and coming here, but we were practicing bearing our testimonies yesterday and I just couldn't contain my feelings. It's hard for me right now to adjust and accept that I will be away from home for two years. It seems like such a long time. But it was hard for me to adjust to Logan as well and I eventually did. I'm really anxious to get out and start working, but I know I must come here first to prepare to be ready to preach the gospel. I don't have that many picture but hopefully I will send some next week. I feel your love here and miss you tons. My time is up and there is so much more I want to tell you. I love you so much and can't wait to talk to you again.
Love,
Chandler
